What is Unplugged?

What is Unplugged?

Unplugged is a one day conference for the city of Baltimore. The conference will begin with registration, a continental breakfast and worship time. We will have 3 preaching/teaching sessions. Each session will be followed by a short break, with an hour break for lunch. During lunch there will be a panel on experiences of women in the church. Baltimore City Choir will also perform.

Why are you having the Unplugged conference?

Unplugged is an attempt to love our city by bringing believers together to hear from God through some of His choice servants.  The idea for Unplugged came from our desire at Freedom Church to bless our city. We planted Freedom Church in the North East part of Baltimore in January of 2010. We love Baltimore and want to see a gospel movement spread here. We looked around and asked questions and realized there was no conference being held like Unplugged for the people of Baltimore. So, we began praying and seeking help from other churches and by God’s grace the Unplugged Conference was started in 2012.  We are now in year six, and we have many partners and sister churches who have worked with us through the years, and they are excited to make Unplugged even more successful in 2017.

Why is the conference named Unplugged?

We named the conference Unplugged because we want to hear what God has to say to Baltimore. We don’t assign topics to our speakers. We have set the context and goals for our conference before our speakers and have asked that each speaker seek guidance from the Holy Spirit as to what they should speak on. We are excited to see what God will say to us!
